From September 16 to 30, 2024, Meet Fresh will feature a limited-edition “Chef Max’s Thai Shaved Ice,” crafted by the award-winning chef known for his innovative Thai-inspired cuisine.
This exclusive treat blends the classic flavors of Thai milk tea with a refreshing shaved ice twist, promising a unique dessert experience. For every “Chef Max’s Thai Shaved Ice” sold, we will donate $5 to the No Kid Hungry charity, supporting their mission to end child hunger in the United States.
In addition to the Thai Shaved Ice, we will also launch a new series of Thai-inspired drinks, including Thai Milk Tea, Fluffy Thai Milk Tea with Mini Q, and more. You may know him as the chef at Michelin-starred Taiwanese restaurant KATO at The ROW in downtown LA.
Last summer we collaborated with Top Chef Mei Lin and this spring, we are so excited to collaborate with Jon Yao, another prominent LA chef! Say hello to Jon Yao’s Special, an exclusive single serving shaved ice dessert that features the chef’s favorite Meet Fresh toppings, boba, grass jelly, Mini Q, Potaro Balls (purple), and our housemade milk tea sauce!

Why we made this change
We’re always listening to our customers and making necessary changes and adjustments to our existing menu. The current Sesame Rice Balls are a true hidden gem at Meet Fresh and we wanted to share more of this delectable taste. By making it a new filling in our Ube Balls, we’re able to diversify and reintroduce the black sesame flavor in other desserts.
Our Ube Balls launched in the Summer of 2021 as part of the Ube Series. They were originally filled with taro paste. After a lot of consideration, we thought it would be fun to make it with a black sesame filling instead! Thus, here we are!
